Abstract:
Some problems about the basic concept of supervisory control of telerobots are studied and a new cognition ispresented. A supervisory control system is a system that is composed of both the high-level intelligence of personsand the lower-level intelligence of machines. The supervisory control is a procedure in which these two kinds of in-telligence are interacting and the entry of person intelligence should be in different machine intelligence layers inthe systems. Thus the supervisory control is one proper pattern of the advancement of intelligent robots. An exper-iment system of a telerobot manipulator is developed and some experiment examples of supervisory control job aredemonstrated.
