    Abstract: Pose estimation is one of the key problems in mobile robots. This paper surveys some of the latest advances about the research on laser radar based pose estimation for mobile robots in the world. Some important methods are classified, compared and analyzed. The problems that are worth paying close attention to in applications and the research tendencies are induced.
