An Aerostatic Bearing Numerical Calculation Method for 6-DOF Simulation Satellite

Abstract:Aimed at two kinds of aerostatic bearings normally used in zero gravity simulation test,formulae for throttling orifices' diameter,flow and load capacity under conformal transformation are deduced,finite element modeling and solving methods are investigated,and some examples are given to prove the results.A 6-DOF(degree of freedom) simulation satellite is designed based on planar and spherical aerostatic bearing presented in the paper.The test results show that the two kinds of bearings satisfy general technical specifications.
