An Image Segmentation Algorithm Based on Edge Detection and Its Application to Robotfish

  • 摘要: 针对仿生机器鱼在目标识别、追踪任务中的需求,结合基于阈值的图像分割算法和基于Sobel算子的边缘检测技术,给出了一种基于目标图像阈值自适应调整策略的图像分割方法.克服了基于固定阈值的图像分割算法不能适应环境光照变化的缺点.该方法应用于仿生机器鱼的水下目标识别任务中,实验结果表明了该方法是有效的.

     

    Abstract: For the requirements of biomimetic robotfish in object recognition and tracking, using the image segmentation algorithm based on threshold and an edge detection algorithm based on Sobel operator,an image segmentation algorithm based on adaptive threshold-adjustment strategy of target images is presented.The proposed algorithm can solve the problem that the image segmentation algorithm based on fixed threshold cannot adapt to the light variation.The proposed algorithm is applied to the underwater object recognition task of biomimetic robotfish and its validity is tested through experiments.
