Abstract
The paper presents a real time control system based on SERCOS for chess playing robots.The environment of Windows NT+RTX and bus interface of SERCOS guarantee the real time property.Standard PC hardware platform and modularized software design make it open and extensible.In addition,the self designed chess playing software enables human machine interaction to be friendly and excellent.
