Abstract
The finite element method is one of the most effective methods to analyse mechanical behaviour of tactile sensors of robots. In this paper the strain fields within a finite volume medium of planar array tactile sensors subjected to flat end punches with various cross sections have been calculated by 3-D finite element method. The contours of strain fields have been drawed and they have very important reference value for the designers of tactile sensors.
