IN REVERSE ENGINEERING THE METHOD FOR EXTRACTING AND MODELING BOUNDARY OF COMPLEX SURFACE BASED ON TRINOCULAR STEREO VISION

  • One of key research issues in reverse engineering is the geometric modeling of complex surface. How to extract boundary of complex surface is a main step. It gives a practical method of boundary extracting and modeling by using trinocular stereo-vision. Firstly, the characteristic points of the surface boundary are extracted from one image, then 3D-coordinate of points are acquired by image matching, so the B-spline of surface boundary is taken.
