A STUDY ON THE LASER SCANNING SENSOR FOR WELDING PROCESS CONTROL

  • This paper presents a sensing system which consists of an optical, signal receiver and data processor.Using laser beam and its mechanical scanning keep the sensing system more compact and stable from arclight disturbance. A new optical receiver, position sensor device(PSD), is utilized in the sensing method.Unlike conventional TV electrical scanning mode, it does not need any electrical scanning circuits so as toincrease the speed of processing signal. Experiment results.
