    Abstract: This paper introduces the major features of an Intelligent Robot Simulation System(IRSS).Its functionsinclude interactive geometric modeling,automatically kinematic and dynamic modeling,workcell layout andsimulation,mechanical drafting and geometric characteristics analysis,etc.Some key techniques are discussed in detail.Research focus in the future is also pointed out.
